The Wonders of Downtown

Greetings fellow bloggers and blogger visitors,

We are the VCJ (Valerie, Chad and John) group. This is our first time to use blogger for a major assignment. For a start, we would like to share you a summary of our  Downtown trip story. Feel free to read them anytime. Also we encourage you to leave some comments or feedbacks  about or summary. Thanks and looking forward to hear from you all soon.

 Last Monday, January , 2011; our professor gave us a chance to travel in Downtown. Although that day is potentially freezing, we went there to work on our group assignment that is due in one week. This whole assignment asked us to make our own story, in reference to our downtown trip. We brought some major backups to our trip such as, an instruction sheet to locate which sites or streets we have to track down and a camera. Upon our arrival, we took some random pictures to show where we first started. However, we focused more on the major sites we have to visit.  So first,  we went to St. James Cathedral. As we go inside, we  found some tablets that shows some names of pastors and priests who served the cathedral for years. Most of them served during the early period of times. Furthermore, based on those tablets, it showed how those priests made a lot of contribution to the cathedral's development. We also believe that this is the most tricky part. This is because we are trying to find this particular statue, by the name of Sara. According to the instruction sheet, we can't find Sara if there's snow on the ground. Apparently, we thought that it is hard to find her statue. But then, we decided to take a  picture of this small statue, which our group thought was different. Few minutes later, we went straight to a  sign that says, "land of Land" (I can't recall the title but it has a "land" word on it). So we tried to take a picture of it and all of a sudden, the camera went off due to low battery.Thanks to one of our group member's phone, we were able to capture a photo of  the sign. After that, we went straight to a TD Bank and asked about the "Flat Iron" building. That one was definitely hilarious as there's this TD bank man described the building as "Weird". So we checked outside and looked for it and realized that it is close to the bank. This then became our chance to ask for another person to take a picture of our group standing in front of the Iron Building. The next site we went to was this "horse faucet". During that time, there are questions that popped in to our minds, such as, "How are we able to find it?" and "Should it be like a real horse faucet"? As a result of this, we forced ourselves to roam around and looked for it no matter what it takes. Later that moment, we continued searching for it and finally  managed to locate where it is (somehow). Once again, my team mate's camera died unexpectedly. So I decided to use mine to take pictures and I'm so glad that my phone's battery was on its 4 out of 5 battery level.

That is our group's interesting adventure in Downtown. Again, please keep in mind that this is  just a SUMMARY of our story as we did not include other "funny" stuff we had during our trip.
